Our new ward building Open House

We recently moved into a new ward building that is close enough for us to walk to! The children sang in a choir at the Open House.

Enjoying the Family Playground

The Playground was actually completed the beginning of August. The kids love to go out and swing or slide or just hang out in the tower.

A New Year

The kids have been in school now for a few weeks already. Seth and Ethan are in 3rd grade. They are in different classes. Ben is an official 1st grader. He has been excited for school lunch for sooooo long. But when school started, he realized just how long he was going to be at school. After a few weeks, he is now transitioning nicely. Sydney will be starting preschool next Tuesday. She is very excited to be going to Miss Julie's Preschool. We love Miss Julie!

I have determined that no matter what, I am going to be volunteering at the school more. I know it means a lot to the boys that I become involved and see them in their classroom. Even though I'll have Sydney, Mike, and a little bun in the oven, I am going to do it! For them.

So it is a new year. So many possibilities.

Announcement Alert!!

We are officially announcing the great news of expecting baby #6 in March. We are very happy. We have told the children and they are very excited. Of course, I am only thinking of boy names. I kind of expect a boy. I love my guys! If it is a girl, then we'll have 2 princesses. If not, then Sydney will be the only little princess in our family.

We bought a playset

The kids were so excited. Sydney said, "Can we play on it tomorrow?" Dean and I looked at each other and stiffled a laugh. This thing is going to be an enormous project that may take at least a month to finish. Aside from the fact that it is a monstrous swing set that had 6 boxes and a slide with some of them weighing more than 200 lbs, the prep work for the ground is quite extensive. We have to take up the grass in the dimensions of 17.5 x 16.5. After that we'll have to rework the ground, add a retaining wall, and then we'll be able to start putting together the house of a playset. We, uh, I mean, I have a lot of ideas for the front & back yards. Dean is supporting those ideas. I'm sure it will all be a great learning experience, and maybe some fun, too!
